Print Information:
Traditional matting and framing:
16x20" prints are mounted on 26x30" mat.
20x24" prints are mounted on 30x34" mat.
30x40" prints are mounted on 40x50" mat.
Larger prints are usually mounted onto aluminum or plexiglass - see
below.
Framed prints have a 4-ply overmat that floats around the image and
sits 1/2 inch from the edge of the print.
Title, edition numbering, and signature are written on the mat board
below the image.
Aluminum mounting:
30x40" - 50x60" prints can also be flush mounted on sheets
of aluminum or other durable materials like plexiglass.
Covering the front of the photo is a protective lustre laminate film
that also eliminates glare without reducing image quality.
The back of the aluminum sheet has a certificate of authenticity label
including the title, edition number, and signature. |
